Mental health therapy, psychiatry medication management, psychological testing, weight loss medication, and medical nutrition therapy are typically covered by insurance when patients see one of our providers because they are all in network with most major insurance plans. Usually, only a copay is due at the time of service, typically between $0 and $40 per visit.

You should contact your insurance provider for more details about your benefits, including the number of sessions covered and information about deductibles and co-payments. The type of your nutrition or mental health therapy coverage depends on the specific plan contracted by your employer.
What Is Owed at Time of Visit
At the time of service, we will collect your co-pay, then submit the visit to your insurance company on your behalf. You will only be charged more than your co-pay if you have a deductible that has not been met when the explanation of benefits comes back, which usually takes 2 weeks but may take as long as 2 months. If your insurance company denies the claim or we do not have the correct insurance information on file, we will message you through your portal.
Medicare and Medicaid
We do not take Medicare or Medicaid. If you have Medicaid, we are not able to see you. If you have Medicare, please fill out this opt-out form stating you understand the service is self-pay and send it to billing@washncgroup.com before your first appointment.
Self Pay
If you do not have insurance, a statement can be received upon request with the service and payment amount to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

ESA & FMLA Letters
Certain administrative services outside of standard medical care will not be covered by insurance. They will incur a self–pay fee to cover the time and resources required to prepare these documents. This includes letters for work or school leave of absences, FMLA/Disability extended forms or paperwork, and ESA Letters, which support an emotional support animal in specific settings, including housing and travel. For more information regarding letters, visit our medical records and letters page.
